BARIUM CHLORIDE 0.5Mol/L (0.1N) FOR 500ML SOLUTION

2. Open the internal yellow PP cap, carefully remove the plug and transfer the contents of the ampule into a 500 ml standard volumetric flask of Class A grade. Rinse the bottle from inside with distilled water replacing again the plug. Transfer the rinsing to the flask. Make up volume up to the mark with distilled water at 27°C. Stopper the flask and mix thoroughly.

3. Note down the normality and date of preparation of the solution on the sticker label provided in the pack. Affix the same on the bottle/flask.

4. The unopened capsule bottles may be stored indefinitely without the contents deteriorating in strength or quality. (Solutions diluted for use should be kept under conditions of storage appropriate to volumetric and reagent solution).

5. The accuracy of the solution prepared as above from S.D^’s Concentrated Volumetric solution is 0.1±0.0005N

Response: IF INHALED: Remove to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing. IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Call a POISON CENTER or doctor/physician if you feel unwell. If eye irritation persists: Get medical advice/attention.
